Hi,

How do I set myself up as the domain System Administrator in SmarterMail so that I can set up GreyListing for example?

What I mean is... when I create a new mailbox, there is an option to check 'Domain Administrator' but if you don't do this when creating the mailbox, the option disappears. How can I set myself up as the admin AFTER ignoring the option on creation?

I have some other issues as well, but these may be sorted if I was the admin e.g. how do I find out how much space is left in my mailbox and so avoid the "You have run out of space - mail is being rejected" message?

We do not allow you to create Domain Administrator Accounts in SmarterMail.

Grey Listing can not be changed through a Domain Administrator as Anti-Spam (including Grey Listing) and Anti-Virus is handled by our Gateway Mail Servers.

The Gateway Mail Server uses Declude, Commtouch, RBL's lists for Spam and AVG for Anti-Virus. Grey Listing is used but only if the email receives a spam score of 10 (SPAM-LOW) or higher.

This is done as Grey Listing can add a delay of 5 minutes or more to the delivery of an email, by only using Grey Listing on emails detected of being Spam it means that you still have the benefits of Grey Listing without the delays that it can impose.

If you wish to check the storage space of your mailbox you need to login to your Webmail Account for the mailbox and then go to 'Reports -> My Reports -> Disk Usage'

Thank you for clearing that up. What is the function of the 'Domain Administrator' checkbox, when creating a new mailbox?

The 'Domain Administrator' checkbox has been removed as it was there due to a bug in the Control Panel software.

'Domain Administrator' account lets you override the settings set within your hosting package, but offer very little else.
