Bruce, the subject field on emails sent from this forum is:

Web Wiz Support and Community Forums Topic Reply : THE SUBJECT--------

It would be very helpful if this subject field was shortened dramatically...I already know who the email is from (Web Wiz Support and Community Forum) so "Web Wiz Support and Community Forums Topic Reply : " in the subject field is unnecessary noise.

The effect is real. I cannot see the actual topic subject easily in the MS Outloook list so its hard for me to group and decide what which topics are important. I must open them all !

Any chance you could reconfigure the subject field so I can see the topic subject easily and not the rest?

Regards, Nick

To help me...I note two fields in configuration, Forum Name and Website Name.

It appears the Forum Name appears as the email sender and in the subject. It is also used in the header of my browser (page title perhaps).

So, if Forum Name is used on emails, why is it that Website Name appears on the email config page and not Forum Name?

Further, what is Website Name used for?

And back to the original point, how can we make the subject prefix much shorter, even "Topic Reply Notification" seems unnecessary. Personally I am happy knowing its from FORUM NAME (email sender) and the TOPIC (email subject).

Just trying to understand and make even more usable...

This has already been looked at for the next release. Hopefully you would like the changes.

Good news and thanks...

...what is "Website Name" used for if Forum Name is used for email etc?

It's meant to be used for the email from name and also for the banner image at the top of the forum which links to the websites homepage.

OK...I believe the email from and email subject both use Forum Name (quick test) - maybe this is all resolved in the next version?
