On my website I'm using:

<configSections>
<section name="rewriter" type="Intelligencia.UrlRewriter.Configuration.RewriterConfigurationSectionHandler, Intelligencia.UrlRewriter" requirePermission="false"/>
</configSections>

This doesn't appear to be compatable with the URL rewrite rules in the WWG download, is it something I'm going to have to write myself? (I don't mind, just asking before I embark on changing a lot of pages content which I'd rather avoid for upgrade purposes).

The Web Wiz Forums URL Rewriting uses either the IIS7 Rewrite Module or ISAPI Rewrite, depending which version you install. From:-

It looks like you are using a 3rd party URL Rewrite from a different company.

However, if you have the IIS7 Rewrite Module installed on your server you can still place the web.config that contains the web wiz forums URL rewrite rules in the Web Wiz Forums directory and it would only affect the files in that directory.
