Great forum software, very happy with it.... Here's a suggestion or two, fairly easy to implement for the next version....

I have a custom header.asp file and footer.asp file that contains my site header - menu and some code for a newsletter and some advertising... but each time I upgrade I have to redo these files.

So:
Could you create a database table entry that would store the header code, and another database field storing the footer code, and create a field on the admin side to enter the header code etc. and then modify header.asp to pull info from the database field if present.

I'm also  have a customized registration rules file so doing it for that would be a good idea as well.

Also, could you create a variable for metatag keywords and description that would be inserted in the top of each page?

Thanks
Mark

Some of your suggestions have already been developed for version 10 due to the changes required for the database.

Version 10 will allow the setting of the forum home meta tags, other meta tags are already set dynamically within each page using the contents for the page for descriptions and keywords.

By the way create a backup of your header and footer files then each time you upgrade you do not need to redo these files as you just copy across the back of your custom header and footer files.
