After being told that a few new members couldn't register with the forum I thought I'd have a quick look - all was working fine up till a few days ago, and now I get the following error:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e21'

Field 'tblAuthor.Avatar_title' cannot be a zero-length string.

/nwcld/secstu/forum/register.asp, line 825

(line 825 because of MODs which exist on the page - navigation_buttons etc)

Anyone any ideas?

This feature should only be availble to admins.

It looks like the file has been modified and or edited, this is proably what is coursing the problem with the page. Try uploading the original file.

You might also want to check the field in the database.  If it is an Access database, you must chenge the "Allow zero length" option of the field to False if it is true.  This should take care of it.

The field would be Avatar_title in teh tblAuthor table.

Not a problem.  I make that mistake all the time and then realize it after I get that error.  Too much experience with Access DBs I guess.

I also realize I meant to say, set the "Allow Zero Length" flag to true, not false.
