It has been working fine and suddenly it gives:

HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error

The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid.

I don't know what has been updated but I suspect that IIS was upgraded to a newer version (maybe 7?). Maybe it's the web.config as it shows the file three in the error description.

Please let me know if you know how to resolve this!

Could you please give more details such as what version of Web Wiz Forums you are using and the version of IIS?

If IIS has been upgraded you should also findout this information.

Thanks for the quick response.

I don't have access to IIS but the page shows IIS 75. Detailed Error - 500.19 - Internal Server Error, so it's probably IIS 7.5. IT probably upgraded to Windows Server 2008.

Where can I find the version number. I downloaded in May 2011. Maybe it's 9.74 as the download page shows that as the previous release before the 10.0 release in June.

It looks like the web.config you have is causing a problem. Try deleting the web.config file and see if that fixes the issue.

Web Wiz Forums only needs a web.config if you are using URL Rewriting. If the IIS 7 Rewrite Mod is not installed on the server then the web.config for URL writing can cause this error.
