Will look in to this issue and see if anything can be done for the next release to fix it.

SAME HERE!!!
Interesting - since the upgrade to what we're using (it's 9.xx) I've seen the same thing! (we are not yet on 10)
I don't get much in the line of what I REALLY want logged, but the files used to be 2 or 3 K and are now 20K to 50K - some over 100K - since the last upgrade and the move of the log files to outside the public www area.
Prior to the latest upgrade, all were normal. Now EVERY single log file is totally filled with this:

2011-06-29 00:10:44 - 216.197.243.130 - Teamamc - ERROR - File: functions_session_data.asp - Error Details: err_SQLServer_saveSessionItem()_update_session_data - Microsoft VBScript runtime error - Object required

The issue should be extremely rare in 9.70 upward, but it may still happen occasionally.

every single day for several months now.................. maybe only .01% of wwf users see it, but in our case, it's daily. The logs from last year to now all have this beginning to end.

Curious - is it a non-issue, or does it mean there's a configuration problem, etc.
Did one of us mess up in some setting?
?
It's Web Wiz hosted......... so I know the server(s) is/are MORE than capable. It's not like a cheap host with lame slow servers or connectivity issues.

I can see from the format of the session ID in the error message '87d1f11a-529z-3833df1b-2f5be2zd-z67c7dfe' that this is the old session ID format where this issue was common due to ASP's inability to produce truly random codes even when they are made of of 32 characters and numbers.

The new format is different. If you upgrade your forum to either the latest 9.x or 10.x versions this issue is much less likely to happen and should not happen at all as it does not rely on ASP producing a 32 character long alphanumeric ID.

Thank you - your knowledge of ASP and web servers and SQL is amazing.
I knew it wasn't a totally bad thing as things have been working pretty well. Few errors seen by members - but as an IT/network person, I get curious......
