Test cases (remove whitepace in url tag):

[ url ]http://www.scirra.com[ /url ]
[ url= ]http://www.scirra.com[ /url ]

Leaving an empty = sign with no address after it makes it default to the current page URL which a lot of my users who came from PHPBB3 seem to be doing for some reason.

To fix it I patched it in functions_format_post.asp around line 289:

strMessage = replace(strMessage, "[URL=]","[URL]", 1, -1, 1)
%5d" rel="nofollow -
%5d" rel="nofollow -

Thanks!

I have a couple of suggestions to make it function a lot better as well, there's also a small problem when you add something/italic something etc etc it inserts it at the end of the post as supposed to where the cursor currently is at.  Also it would be nice to auto format URLs to hyper links/images as well when processing the post!

I like the RTE but for various reasons it has been decided to turn it off which is a shame :(
