Hello
I just bought newspad, but I have a problem I'm Danish and I therefore use a Western European iso-8859-1, this I have also chosen in NewsPad Settings, the letters look right, but inside when I look at newspad categories, "admin_configure_category.asp "written there is still no æøå but instead: gøre
 i have: NewsPad Version 2 Beta

Try opening the common.asp file in a text editor like notepad and at line 139 put in the following:-

Session.LCID = 1030

The 1030 will set the server locale settings for NewsPad to the Danish locale.

It has no effect, it is still wrong, i have done so.

'Set the timeout
Server.ScriptTimeout = 90
Session.Timeout = 20
Session.LCID = 1030

'If there is no database set then need to run the installation setup
If strDatabaseType = "" Then Response.Redirect("setup.asp")

I had this problem with accents and "ñ" in the Spanish language and so I have been able to correct doing this:

  1. Edit the page with Notepad
  2. Click on "File" and "Save as..."
  3. In "Encoding" Change UTF-8 to ANSI
  4. Save
