The users of my forum cannot view the emails sent for new posts in topics they have subscribed to, since the non-latin characters are not displayed correctly. The same problem with the forgotten password functionality.

The problem lies with the missing .charset property of Persits.MailSender and the hardocded <% @ LANGUAGE=VBScript CODEPAGE=1252 %> page declaration.

It would be great if there was an admin option to change the default character set and I do not know if this has been fixed in version 10.

Character encoding support is available in version 10 for email. If you do upgrade to version 10 you should also use CDOSYS instead for better support for non-Latin languages in email.
