Anyone managed to get this working using a free plugin?

AspSimpleUpload
Free component available from  http://www.asphelp.com/ - www.asphelp.com - doesn't seem to exist anymore.

aspSmartUpload
Free component available from  http://www.aspsmart.com/ - www.aspsmart.com - doesn't seem to exist anymore.

Dundas Upload 2.0
Free component available from  http://aspalliance.com/dundas/default.aspx - aspalliance.com/dundas - I can find no instructions anywhere for getting this to work (Server 2008).

I'm thinking of maybe buying either;
Persits AspUpload 3.x or above (use this components for uploads above 2MB (2048KB), also includes progress bar)
Component available form  http://www.aspupload.com/ - www.aspupload.com
Persits AspUpload
 2.x
Component available form  http://www.aspupload.com/ - www.aspupload.com

Anyone had experience of setting this up on server 2008?

Thanks

Persits AspUpload is certainly the best and very simple to setup.

It's very simple to install, you login to the server as the admin, download the AspUpload executable from Persists website and double click on the executable.

You may need to start and stop IIS after you install it, but it is as simple as that.

If you are using the 64 bit version of Windows 2008 you should run the application pool in 32bit mode and install the 32 bit version of Persits AspUpload.

Bruce what is the reasoning or logic of running the application pool in 32bit mode?
Just wondering/curious - I'd not heard that before -

Running the application pool in 32bit mode offers better backward compatibility and according to Microsoft better memory usage and performance.
