Can somebody point me in the direction of where these tools are and how i do it, thanks. |

To backup your forums files you would need to create an FTP account in your hosting control panel, which you can then use to download your forums files. To backup the database, you would go to the SQL Server 2008 section of your hosting control panel where you will find a 'Database Tools' link which will take you to a tool that can be used to download a backup of your forums SQL Server Database. Your forums files are backed up each night, and a full backup of your database taken each morning, and stored on our file servers. It's yet another reason I host with 'em. If I'm doing some modifications on files, especially non-forum files, I will back things up so I have various versions as opposed to going to the last good from the day before, otherwise, it's just for putting on the sandbox server I have at home for experimenting on a non-live forum.

| I have all my non-forum files stored locally, and even my edited forum files. I just dont have the forum database etc, turns out the actual owner of the board has never made a back up in the 5 years of owning so its good to hear you got us covered. Thanks. |
