I note in the admin section there's a way to show an ad between the 1st and 2nd post in a forum. Can that be done so that it's different for each forum? Example - we have a big company that wants to "sponsor" a forum - they make brake kits to convert your cars drum brakes to disk, and they want to pay to "sponsor" the brake forum part of our forums. Their ad won't get much look in the Engine forum area, or the for sale section, but it's perfect for the brakes and suspension forum. We also have a maker of decals and stripe kits that wants to sponsor the body and exterior forums. So, we want the ability to have different advertisers for different forums. Does this make sense??
This is how we do it currently, it's barely noticeable, not really very good, and all manual....

OK - I didn't think I saw a way .
Don't need to advertise engine parts to a fellow who is just changing a tire so was hoping for a way to "target" the ads based on the forum topic. Will find another method, probably hand-code something in.

This is possible as a mod to the forum.
Since you are not allowed to edit the forum without purchasing a license and this would be adding a feature you need a license to do, I won't post the code here for the non-payers.
Looks like your forum is licensed, so contact my via PM and I'll give you some basic code to do this.
Unless Bruce has an objection? In which case I'm happy for him to delete my post
