Is there any easy way to bypass the "Exceeded the allotted space" error message for Admin? I would think there is some exception for the admin account from the general forum limitations...

It seems as admin, I hit the file upload limit much sooner than everyone else; not many other forum members uploaded too many files. I would like to increase the limit for myself/admin accounts, but I'd hate to increase the upload limit for everyone at the same time since most people won't need it.

At the present time there is not an option to set higher limits for certain groups or members for allocated upload space.

I've used this forum since Dec 2003 - you made STACKS of progress, that's an understatement. Are there any plans to add a toggle switch to bypass space limitations for the administrator? I don't think I'd have use for different limits based on user category/groups.

This has been requested recently by others on here so is on the 'todo' list but as it will require changes to the database would have to wait for version 11 to be released.

Although looking at a solution to not include Admins in the limits before then just like with the Private Messaging system.

Star very cool!

I'm currently moving the larger files from my user directory to a temporary one, then editing each post so I can keep uploading. Talk about clunky!!

Maybe you could add unlimited space for admins and moderators until the group quota feature is rolled out.

It would not require any changes to the database, it just wouldn't check the alloted space for these users.
