I am using Newspad to simply send periodic emails to my Web Wiz Forum users. Can i delete the unsubscribe link from the newsletter I send? I am comfortable removing code if its possible.

Doing so would be illegal under anti-spam laws in Europe and the US as well as many other countries.

You would also probably in breach of the contract you have with your hosting or network provider on the sending of bulk email.

If i am using web wiz forums, do i need newspad to send all members of my FORUM an email? I see a newsletter option for members but cant seem to find it. I dont wish to ask them to signup on a secondary script (newspad) if i can avoid it.

NewsPad can send Newsletters or Blog Posts to Web Wiz Forums members who have selected to receive Newsleters from you in their Web Wiz Forums Profile.

To enable it you need to enable the NewsPad integration in Web Wiz Forums and the same in NewsPad.

Yes, i have it integrated and working perfect. My concern with the current unsubscribe link is this:

1) Forum member activates (opts in) newsletter option.

2) I send email/newsletter via Newspad

3) Forum member receives email with an unsubscribe link to Newspad.

4) I prefer the unsubscribe notice to be something like: "login to your Forum preferences and deselect newsletter subscription"

I have purchased the premium version, its perfect, i just need to iron out the best way for emailing all forum members. Most are older and not super-computer type people.

If a forum member clicks an unsubscribe link from a Newsletter sent from Newspad then Newspad would update their Newsletter preference in Web Wiz Forums and unsubscibe them.

Newspad does not store any Web Wiz Forums members details it connects to the Web Wiz Forums database to find who to send the Newsletters too. If a member unsubscribes Newspad updates this preference in the Web Wiz Forums database.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I would ask a related question please.

I have Web Wiz Forum and Newspad and wondering whether I can configure (or easily mod) Newspad to auto-unsubscribe people with a 'single-click' on the unsubscribe link (rather than them needing to login to Newspad).

The reason is that I am planning on the following:
- Importing a list of my work colleagues' email addresses to be used as 'temporary' subscribers in Newspad (importing from a CSV/Txt file ie. they are NOT forum members so don't have password, etc)
- Sending these people an invitation to join my website
- If they join, then they will become a forum member and can then set their own password, etc
- If they don't want to join, then I want them to be able to be unsubcribed from Newspad so I don't bother them again
- Currently, if they click on the unsubscribe link it takes them to the standard Newspad login screen.

My plan was to give them an alternate unsubscribe link then code that page to auto-unsubcribe, but I thought I would check to see if this functionality is already built into Newspad.

Thanks for taking the time to read all this waffle Confused

Also, I forgot to mention that I didn't want any duplicated Newspad emails going out if my work colleague is already a forum member.

Does Newspad already perform this check?

Single click un-subscriber is on the 'todo' list and was something that was planned for a September release, but with quite allot of work to do to add in this it is not yet completed.

Email address in NewsPad and Web Wiz Forums are not crossed referenced for duplicates.
