We;re having an issue with image uploads/image selection in a private message. Ive checked it in ie9, firfox and chrome all doing the same thing:

You can upload the image fine, or select an existing uploaded image, and it will upload and appear in the preview box to the right.

When you click the OK button, this button greys out, the preview image disappears. Normally of course it closes the upload window and places the picture in the thread... So basically we cant get an image into a PM although clearly its supposed to work.

We're on the current version 10.11, usings dundas upload...
Happy to create you an example account on our forums if you want to try it on our platform...

Thanks, Dom

Have been looking in to this and need to ask if you have SSL Enabled on your forum?

It seems that if you have SSL enabled then due to the higher security settings of the browser permission is denied from the pop up windows to insert data in to the editor.

It looks to be the solution is to either not have SSL enabled for the Private Messenger Editor page, or have the options that use pop up windows be disabled when SSL is enabled.

Yes, we have SSL enabled... I need to check with one of the other forum admins as he was working on something that required SSL, so cant just turn it off for now wihtout waiting for his reply..

Not knowing much about it, is there server-side way to do the "either not have SSL enabled for the Private Messenger Editor page, or have the options that use pop up windows be disabled when SSL is enabled."

Let me know if theres anything I can do to assist!

Have found a solution for the next release.

The issue it seems is that the pop up windows in the Private Messages are not enabled for SSL. The solution is to have these as SSL enabled when when SSL is enabled within the forum.

For the moment the only solution is either put up with not being able to attach images in the Private Messenger or disable SSL within your forum.
