I'm using version 10.12 and the Spell Check "ABC" icon is missing when doing a "Full Reply" - strangely, the icon shows up in the "Quick Reply".... Did I miss something in setup?
It makes sense that all icons in Quick Reply would show up in Full Reply, and then some....

If it helps - it shows up in my admin account.

However, if i log in as a regular user - it's gone in the Full Reply RTE. I checked the Group Permissions, but didn't find any Spell Check options there.

The spell check button should only display if you are using Internet Explorer as other browsers have spell checkers built in to them.

This is working correctly in the Full Editor, but in quick reply there does seem to be a bug where it is displaying the spell check button to browsers other than Internet Explorer.

Thanks. That's the difference, I see... IE does show spell check in both Quick Reply and the Full Editor.

FireFox only shows it in Quick Reply, not Full Editor.

Maybe it needs to get turned off for FireFox Quick Reply if not compatible?

The bug where the spell check button is displayed to browsers other than IE in the Quick Reply Editor has been fixed for the next release.
