Hi.

Never installed or run/managed a forum. So any dummies guides/help/advice much appreciated.

Building a site (good with html & css - no exp. with php) and a forum integrated into the site would be ideal if it also allowed an icecast streaming radio station embedded flash player and a shoutbox.

The shout/chat box needs to be able to do various things though:

1 - be live updating, not a widget (purpose of the chatbox is for live chat)
2 - show who is signed in to the box
3 - send a pm to another member/s
4 - allow "private" chats to be made within the regular chats (seen this in a TS Special Edition forum app), not open a new chat window
5 - filter words
6 - smileys
7 - make backups of all chats to resolve any disputes later
8 - to ban a user from chat
9 - available to members only
10 - spam filters
11 - ability to show it on std. webpages, not just in the forum. This feature does not necessarily need to work - as in people can jump into the chat from any page - but to encourage them to join the forum and enter the chat. Hence, chat restricted to forum members!
12 - bbcode
13 - edit/remove offensive/spam chat

I'll leave it there for now.

Forums layouts in general (flat ones) are basically the same and as long as I can add logo's, css changes for colours etc, I'm not too fussy about the look (but I like the look of webwiz - clean), if the above 2 features (icecast & shoutbox) are available as either std or a plugin.

Oh, and after seeing the demo, can the shoutbox be fixed, not a pop up/out?

The built in Chat Room is a lightweight Chat Client that allows forum members to chat in real time from the chat popup window in the browser.

It does not support private chat rooms, all forum members in the chat room can see and speak with each other.

The chat room runs in a web browser using JavaScript, so no plugins required, just a JavaScript enabled web browser.

So which of the listed features above does it fulfill and do you know of a MOD for another box that works within Web Wiz?

Regarding the private chat room, I'm not looking for a private chat room. The one I've used has a feature that you can hold a private chat with a member/s within the one chat box, allowing you to chat with everyone and hold a private chat within the same box. But this box is included within a forum app that is unsuitable for my purpose, so I can't use that program for my project/forum. Just wanted to help clarify. 1 box that allows within it, private chat alongside public chat.
