I just upgraded from 7.x to 10.15. Before, I was able to have users in multiple groups (i.e. one user would be in both the LasVegasLeadership and LasVegasVolunteer groups) and they would have a drop down in the upper left of the forum allowing them to switch between groups

Has this option been taken away, or am I just missing it in the settings?

You must have been using a modified version as there has never been an option for members to be part of multiple groups.

I've wondered this myself as we have a group that I place people in if they have donated funds to the running of the forum. This allows a special icon to be displayed by their name. Otherwise I had no real method of tracking donors, or recognizing them with a special icon and description. I'd like to have people be in their regular ladder group, AND be in a donor group.
OTherwise, would be nice to be able to have a special icon and title display next to the donor info in their posts.
I was also hoping to find a way to allow moderators to perform certain functions that only the admin can do now. I don't want them to be admins - too risky, but as moderators, they are also a bit too limited. I'd like them to be able to move donors into the donor group, but at this time I am the only person who can do this, they don't have that right.

As an admin you can edit a members profile and give them a 'Member Title' which would be displayed next to that members posts within the forum. This could be used to identify the member as a donor while keeping them in the normal ladder group.

Agreed - but we wanted a graphic indicator as well..... and there was no other way "that I could see" of accomplishing that.

Below is an example of the sort of graphic we use - since there wasn't any other place to put it easily, it's the graphic that goes with that group.

If there is and I was wrong - then I guess I'll learn something new today and it will be a good day.

I am not 100% sure but I do believe that the Member Title does allow the use of HTML, so could also include the HTML for a image to be included.

That should be simple enough to test out - I will look into that and give it a try on a "test user".
Ha, I'll tell one of our moderators I'm going to mess with his title,
perhaps change it to "Earl of Grantham", do not panic.

It has a short character limit - so wasn't able to test the HTML theory.
It sure doesn't support the "tags".
I'll have to dig around and try to find another way, I guess.
