My members appear to be having issues posting to the forum. It seems to appear with relatively large posts.

The error message they get is:
Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_save_new_post_data

File Name:- new_post.asp

Forum Version:- 10.15

What are the different things that can cause this error to appear?

I have disabled the error messages and found the true error is this:

Quote Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'

Could not allocate space for object '***.latblThread'.'PK__latblThread__****' in database '**' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full. Create disk space by deleting unneeded files, dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup.

/forum/new_post.asp, line 940

Does this mean my database is full?

Yes it does mean your database is full.

Before buying extra SQL Server Diskspace try shrinking the database to see if that frees up any space in the database.

You can often do this through the hosts control panel or in SQL Server Studio Manager.

Thanks for sorting all that out for me Bruce.

However I noticed a potential bug from this issue. When somebody posts a new topic, the Topic will be created but as the post fails to get added to database, you end up with an orphaned Topic.

Not sure if there is anything you could do to stop that, but I wonder how many forums have hidden topics they don't know about.
