I've got a new Surface with Windows 8 and IE 10.  When I try to edit posts in my forum, I do not get the WYWIWYG editor.  All I see is the HTML, and when I tried editing it and Update the post, it I had HTML tags mixed with the text.

Is there a known problem with this?  I don't see anything else in the forums about it.

ETA: I do not have this problem with THIS forum.

You would need to upgrade to Web Wiz Forums version 10.12 or above which includes support for Windows 8 and IE 10.

Now we have the same problem with Win 8.1 and IE 11. (WebWiz Forums 10.14) This is due to the new compability settings of IE 11. This can temporary solved by adding the forum domain to the compability list of IE 11, but since IE 11 only accept domain names and not no hosts, this is a big problem - at least for me!

Is there a way WebWiz Forums can be made to work with IE 11, or do we need to wait for a new WebWiz version? Could headers of the ASP-files be edited to tell IE 11 to use the forum in compability mode? Which files and what should be edited. I don't want to go though ALL files. I have the professional version, so editing is allowed?

IE has always identified itself as MSIE however in IE 11 this has changed and IE now identifies itself as Trident.

Microsoft have also changed the way Rich Text Editing works in IE 11 to remove proprietary properties and methods and use standard methods instead. It now functions that same way as it does in all other browsers.

Web Wiz Forums 10.17 has been released to add support for the new way IE 11 identifies itself and the new way that Rich Text Editing works in IE 11.
