So out of the blue as it where the forum absolutely crashed with a 500 server error. I can't get into the admin at all.

The problem started with not enough disk space for the upload files, I moved files from the server drive (a directory not connected to the forum) and restarted the server. Server was puking on the uploads I thought because of space. Upon restart the entire forum crashed with the 500 error. The notepad is still working, and the database's are intact.. any ideas?

Any ideas on where to look would really be appreciated; I am pretty sure I screwed something up but have no idea what it could be. The last work I did before the restart was to change the isolated size for uploads. Before this it was giving me a problem with placing the object (the download) into the forum, and or giving another 500 on it's way I thought this was due to disk space and file limitations on the uploads...

Thanks for any help or a good whack in the head to the noob (i.e. me)

The only way to know what the problem would be is to get a detailed error message instead of the generic 500 error message.

If you are using IIS 7 or above you need to edit the ASP settings in IIS and set it to send errors to the browser, then change the IIS Error Pages to Detailed.

Turned all of that on, and got the reply that ...

"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator."

The error arrives when going to the forum/default.asp. Obviously I blew something up, but I just don't have  a clue what it could be. There have been no changes besides moving the files the first time. Is it a problem with the system puking on the database?

Detailed error messages are not enabled yet.

A detailed error message will include a description of the error and a line number in the code where the error occurred.

This detailed error message will give information that will know the exact issue.

I are pretty pig headed, I missed it .. however.. here it is. Does this mean I set it too high and it slipped through? or is it a component issue? somehow?

Quote Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0006'

Overflow: 'CInt'

/forum/includes/global_variables_inc.asp, line 416

corresponding to this in the code

Quote intUploadAllocatedSpace = CInt(getConfigurationItem("Upload_allocation", "numeric"))

Looking for away to get to the admin screen to see if I can fix it..Or do I have to go into the database?

The error appears to be a bug in the amount of space you can allocate to users.

In the Upload settings in the admin area you need to change the amount of space that members have from 100GB per user to a lower amount.

Yes, I understand that part. Now how do I set it ? The forum's admin pages will not load; nothing loads everything comes back to this error. Do I need to go into the database to fix this or is there another way around the problem to get to the admin page?

Looked in the database, found it but I can't edit that value in open office access.

It does show that the file size is greater then the allocation size.
