First, this looks like a very cool product. I was using Snitz, but need something that can be re-branded. So, my first question is...

1) Am I reading correctly that with a minimum donation, this forum can be installed and re-branded with my company logo without reference to Web Wiz or it's forum?

2) Is the source available to tweak? I've noticed that the icons seem to not have height and width tags, and the first time pages are displayed IE does not know how much space to allow, and the page seems to jump in until all the images are loaded. So, if source is available then I could add these (if all were the same size).

3) Also, if source is available, then for a more professional chat I could not have Emotions? Maybe that is an option that is easy to set?

4) To run as a ministry forum for my church, I need to be able to run multiple forums - does this require different databases, or is there a way for multiple forums with seperate logins and displays to be on the same database? E.g. JrHigh wants to be seperate from SrHigh. When logging into JrHigh, they of course do not want a folder showing for Sr.High, they want thier own forum. However, once they log in (and are approved), if they also register for lets say a media forum, as individuals logged in they want to see both forums.

5) Can you confirm that a forum can be set so that members have to go through an approval process before they can post? Not just an email link, but a closed forum so that a leader has to know and approve a new member?

6) Can the forum leader set the forum so that POSTS have to go through an approval process as well?

Thank you in advance for these answers.

1. You cannot rebrand the forum as rebranding basically means making other things it's your own. With a donation you can remove the links to wwg thus the copyright information in the source must stay intakt.
2. You can tweak the source as you want as long as 1. applies.
3. You can remove the emoticons by chaning some source code for the message posing.
4. If you are using access you can set up as many databases as your server allows. If you are using SQL you can change the table prefix to run multiple forums. All forums will be completely independent of each other.
5. no  (Coding would be required, you could change the confirmation email address to point statically to you instead of the person who signs up so you would have to click to enable.)
6. no. You could code a mod for that, should not be to hard.

Thanks for the in-depth answers. I can live with the source branding.

There is a mod out for a group approval process already at http://www.maddogs-asp.com - www.maddogs-asp.com . A way around implementing a mod for the approval process is to create a non-ladder group that all users become upon registration and deny posting rights to all other forums for that group. Create one forum that does allow the entry group posting rights. They must make a post in that forum at which time the forum admins can upgrade their status if deemed appropriate.

Pretty much you can do anything with this board as long as you can code ASP and work with databases. Its really a sweet board for just about any use and the support and input from users is really nice.
