I just saw this www.viglink.com/blog/2013/09/23/vbulletin-mod/
I hope something like this can be introduced for webwiz forum as well. Until "formal" support, i wonder if anyone has any clue on if and how to custom mod current webwiz forum with such functionality (i'm interested in having viglink both "convert" and "insert" feature enabled for guests but have only "convert" service for regular members.

All this mod does is disable VigLink for some user groups within the forum.
This could be added by modifying the code to not include the VigLink JavaScript within the forum page based on the user group.
Although I can not see a great demand for wanting to disable VigLink within a forum as it would lower the amount of revenue you get from VigLink for your forum.

Bruce, with the recent VB viglink mod, there are two sets of settings; one is for turning on and off "convert" viglink script and the other is for turning on and off "insert link" functionality. That's new; before that, there was a single viglink service on/off option.
Personally, i find "convert" service great because it is not changing anything to end users, it just affiliate existing links.
"Insert links" is a different thing because it alters the content by introducing links. We currently don't have this option enabled (via viglink settings) but if there would be an option to have this option turned on for guests only, we would definitelly use it.
I will try to contact viglink directly and see the necessary steps to have this conditional behavior and share it here.

Just an update on this in case anyone is interested. Once enabled on the VigLink settings; "insert" option can be turned OFF by simply placing a " " class to any element where we don't want it.
