Hey guys,

Tried running a update.. everything seems fine. even get the :::

Congratulations, Web Wiz Forums Database setup is now complete


The default administrator login for your forum is:-
User: Administrator
Pass: letmein
Click here to go to your http://forum.norskfiatregister.no/default.asp - Forum Homepage
Click here to login to your http://forum.norskfiatregister.no/admin.asp - Forum Admin Area



But when i try to visit forum page, it just defaults back to setup.asp, even if i type in default.asp, it goes back to setup... HELL... even if i restore backup, from forum folder before upgrade, it defaults to setup.

What to do?

And yes, using super admin, all rights given to folder trough AD

when trying to access the admin panel, we get the following :


Server Error in Forum Application
An error initialising Global Variables from database.
Please contact the Forum Administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_getForumConfigurationData()_read_global_variables
File Name:- global_variables_inc.asp
Forum Version:- 10.16

Error details:-
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Invalid object name 'dboSetupOptions'.

It sounds like the setup wizard is unable to complete.

Usually the reason for this is that it is unable to write to the configuration files in the forums 'database' folder.

Make sure that you have read, write, and modify permissions set on the Web Wiz Forums 'database' folder in order that the configuration files can be written to during the setup process.

All rights are given to the database folder im afraid =(

Would this be something that can be solved trough paid support in any ways? =) More then willing to just get this up and running again

I am more than certain that this is a permissions problem and that the files in the 'database' folder are not being written to.

If you wish to create a paid support ticket on this would be more than happy to have a look.

We do not use skype.

If you have paid for support you can create a support ticket through your Client Area account.
