Running 10.16 here and cannot seem to get Advanced Search to work... ever. It doesn't matter what search term I use, or how far back I ask it to go. It always gives the error:
Either the search has expired or you do not have permission to run this search.
The normal search works, just when I click on Advanced Search do I get this error. Any recommendations as to how to fix this?
Thank you,
David A. Hoatson

The search results are cached in the ASP Session for performance.
As you are receiving this error it suggest their is an issue with the ASP session for the website your forum is running in.
The first thing to check is that the application pool that your forum is running in, in IIS has a single worker process as ASP sessions can not be shared between multiple worker processes.

That was it. Thanks for the help.
I had previously increased the number of worker processes in the DefaultAppPool to two because WWF was timing out one of the worker processes and shutting down our entire web site. I turned off all of the external links (facebook, twitter and such) and that seems to have cured the timeout issue - so now I can go back to a single worker process.

You could have Web Wiz Forums run in it's own worker process by changing the folder that Web Wiz Forums is installed in, in to a Virtual Directory (application root) in IIS.
