Any update on when EI 11 will work without having to switch on 'compatibility mode'? There is a post back in November 2013 (http://forums.webwiz.net/web-wiz-rich-text-editor-rte_forum17.html ) saying that you are working on it....

Microsoft completely rewrote their RTE API with IE 11 and security settings in IE 11 prevent the insertion of objects from windows unless in compatibility mode.

Many hours have been spent trying to find a solution but nothing has been found so far.

It is highly looking like the RTE will have to be completely rewritten from the ground up for IE 11, in which case it would take many months of work as it will mean starting again.

While a better solution is found version 4.14 has been released which you can download from the page below which gives full functionality in IE 11.

Web Wiz Forums uses a custom version of Web Wiz Rich Text Editor.

The Rich Text Editor in latest version of Web Wiz Forums 10.18 uses code based on the latest 4.14 version of Web Wiz Rich Text Editor.

Just update your forum to Web Wiz Forums 10.18.

Bruce, I'm a forum member on a small Web Wiz forum and I've got a replacement laptop from work with updated software on it. It's a DELL laptop running Windows and when I logon to my forum I don't have the full posting editor, i.e. the icon for uploading a Youtube video is gone, among one or two others. I had this issue before but none of the forum mods could provide an answer. The problem persisted for a couple of weeks on my laptop then vanished and during this time my other PC had no such problem. I suspect it's a setting issue but don't have a clue really, can you shed any light on my problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at the link you provide the forum is running an old version from 5 years ago which does not support Windows 8 or new browsers.

Your forum admin needs to look in to upgrading their forum in order to support new OS's and browsers.
