Web Wiz ForumsWe are pleased to announce a service release of Web Wiz Forums version 10.18.

This latest release introduces additional protection from spammers and spam bots.  Changes and new features include:-

  • Blocking New Member Registrations based on country of their IP address (IPv4 and IPv6 support)
  • Optional CAPTCHA Security Images for blocking automated Member Registrations
  • Extra validation checks for GMail addresses with dots used by spammers to register multiple times
  • Updated Email Settings with support for SSL and TLS
  • Fixed minute off-set bug for times displayed in forums
  • Suspended accounts no-longer display on home page as newest member
  • Only Admins and Moderators can see non active and suspended members in the Members List 
  • Fixed YouTube bug in signatures
