Hi.
Just having a go with Mylittle Admin. Never used it before, always used Access but now using a Mac. I have created a test database but I have no idea how to connect to it from Dreamweaver. My pages are asp.
Any help would be great.

Many, many thanks

There is an example connection string for Classic ASP in the welcome email you received which includes the database server host name assigned to your account.

I managed to sort it out. Quite pleased with myself. Smile All I need to do is find some tutorials on creating a database using Mylittle Admin. Not quite the same as Access. Do you know of any?
Many thanks.

You would probably be better installing Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio on your computer and using this to remotely create the database.

myLittleAdmin is fine if you do not have other tools available but is not as powerful as Microsoft's own  SQL Server Management Studio for managing SQL Server Databases.

Your a bit stuck then.

Best thing would be to get hold of a Windows computer or use Boot Camp to install Windows on your Mac.

You would create the database objects in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio not in Dreamweaver.

What I should have said is that I can connect to PHP mylittle Admin without a problem from dreamweaver. But connecting to mylittle admin where webwiz forum is located is a problem. My site is an asp site but I suppose changing it to php shouldnt be a problem, or will it?

The myLittleAdmin tool is an online tool for creating databases with. You use the tool to create objects with in an existing database you would not connect to myLttleAdmin from Dreamweaver.

Have never heard of PHP mylittle Admin you may be getting confused with phpMyAdmin which is an online tool for managing mySQL databases with, unless you are referring to something else?

Sorry, phpMyAdmin is was I should have said. I will have a go at setting up an asp page and create a database using myLittleAdmin. Am I correct in thinking that the line of code sent with my welcome email is the one I use to connect.
Many thanks

It would not be exactly the same it is an example. You need to add your database name and the login for your SQL Server Database.
