We want to provide Forums that do not allow user post or replies.

This can be achieved user the Forum Permissions but the 'Post Reply' button still appears (although it will correctly not allow to be actioned).

The question is, can this button be hidden if the user has no rights to reply for example.

The button is always displayed, that way the forum member can get a message that they can not post in that forum due to permissions when they click on it.

If the button is not there the forum admin tends to get pestered by Private Message from members who can not find how to reply in the forum.
