After I upgraded to version 11 the httpApi does not work, even though I correctly set the username and password and provided them with Admin rights. Any insights what may be causing this?

Make sure that you have the HTTP XML API enabled from the 'General settings' page in the admin area and that you are using the built in super admin account for the authentication.

Thanks for the suggestion but everything was already set accordingly. Any more suggestions.

The error means that the authentication details you are sending to the HTTP API are incorrect.

You have to use the built in admin account for the authorisation for the HTTP API.

Additional admin accounts that you create can not be used for the HTTP API's authentication.

Solved. I had deleted my super admin account, but then recreated it. However, I found within code that the author ID must be 1. So I just change that value to the current ID of my Super User and it worked.

You should look at recreating the super admin user with the ID of 1 as this account is hard coded in to many places with in the forum to give options that are only available to this super admin user.
