Hello,

I am moving webwiz forum from a third party host to 1and1, i am using mysql as the database engine, i have taken backup of mysql and have successfully restored the same on new server.

I have also updated database_settings.asp with the relevant mySQL host name, user name, database name and password.

however, I am receiving the following error when I open the forum home page -

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occurred while connecting to the database.
Please contact the Forum Administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_mySQL_db_connection
File Name:- database_connection.asp
Forum Version:- 10.03

Error details:-
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

Can you please point out what or where I am doing wrong.

I think I am on a Win 2008/2012 Server, and I am using 1and1 unlimited plus plan.

Is there any other file where I need to update the Connection Settings?

The error means that the myODBC driver required for Classic ASP to talk to a mySQL database is not installed on the server.
