I know I can set the forum to display either first or last post at the top of all topics, but is there an option just to jump to the last post in a topic? Something I thought we had in an earlier version.

You can do this.

On the page displaying the topics in the forum if there is a new post in that topic since your last visit the grey arrow next to the name of the last poster will turn yellow.

Clicking the yellow arrow next to the name of the last poster will take you to the first unread post in that topic since your last visit.

Clicking the grey arrow will take you to the last port in that topic.
