Subject: changing registration details

I am trying to change my WWF (v7.01 Access 2000) so that it holds slightly different details for users when they register.

For example telephone number and address instead of the AIM & Yahoo messenger details.

I think I am right in thinking I can use the existing fields in the database if I simply change the displayed text for each input (eg "Address" instead of "Yahoo Messenger") and ensure to change the allowable size of the read in information.  It is only the asp that checks the string lengths and that access will not care if I lengthen these - am I wrong here?

The main thing is I cannot work out where the text comes from to the left of the form ("Username*","New Password", "Retype New Password" etc) on the register.asp page.

Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can change what this says?

Thanks in advance...

am not sure, but am pretty sure it'll be the Languge file that stores the "titles" of the fields from the "left"

i wouldnt change the "name" of the fields like

<imput name="aol"> etc, as it might not pick it up on the Process page

but you'll also have to think about the "buttons" in the topics and profiles for the users IM info

As you said they are all set in the language_file_inc.asp file.

I will be keeping the name ="xxx" properties as they are currently if I were a perfectionist I might change them but am too lazy in truth.

I have disabled the IM functions in my forum so shouldn't have any problem with the buttons (I think...) as they aren't displayed.

Thanks for your quick response.
