I am performing an upgrade from a 7.9 system with MS Access to the current release with SQL Server 2008. This is presenting a few challenges as I try to create a comfortable environment for our users.

Under release 7.9, it was customary to click on a hyperlink at the forum level that said something like "watch this forum for new posts". When you did this, it would enable the sending of emails when someone posted a new topic in the forum. I am looking all over the system for the same or a similar function but can't find one.

Has this been removed? If yes, how does one make sure that a member is emailed about new posts when they are made?

OK, I found it. Turns out that there is a setting under the Forum Options in the upper right corner. I assume it will work the same way.

The option under 'Forum Topics' is to watch a whole forum for new posts.

There is also an option to watch individual Topics from the 'Topic Options' drop down at the top of Topic pages.
