A forum member tells me that he has received a notification for a new topic being posted, but he has not been notified of the replies that others have made to that topic.

He is subscribed to that topic (I checked).

Is there any setting that might cause this to occur or is it 100% the case that the email simply isn't getting through to him (e.g., being intercepted as spam).

By default members will only be notified of the first reply in a topic they are subscribed to.

The email would read that there has been a reply and there maybe others.

They would receive further notifications of replies but only after they return to the forum.

This helps reduce the changes of your forum being blacklisted for spamming for members who are no longer active on the forum.

You can change this default behaviour in the email settings page in the admin area of your forum.
