Hi
I'm using the admin API to log in users already registered to another system, this is working great.
I'm asking my users to create a membername for the forum, does anyone know what validation rules and what characters are allowed for a forum membername and password? All I've found on the documentation and support is minukum 3 characters and maximum 15.
If someone has an exact specification for the membername and password fields that would be fab - I can then apply the correct validation before they log in to the forum.

You can use anything you want for the username as long as the minimum length is 3 and maximum length 15.
The API does use XML which some non ASCII characters can break but most characters, numbers and symbols should be fine.
