I can't find where you configure the email message on forum posts.
Forum participant says this-->

"I clicked the link to reply to this email, but I could not reply on the forum, because the admin locked the function.  "

It sounds like they are trying to respond to the email.  However, the email address from which forum messages are sent is "unmonitored"...we want people to use the forum...not email.  The sending email address is "not a real email".

How can we edit the email and tell people, "Don't Do this"?

Test used in the forum are stored in the language files stored in the language_files folder which can be edited with a text message.

Are you sure though they are trying to reply by email? Sounds to me they are clicking the reply link in the email but it is taking them to a topic on your forum which has been locked by the admin preventing any more replies being posted in that topic.

Well I don't know for sure...but the topic hasn't been locked??  I just locked it and unlocked it for good measure.  Could it be something else?

Which file, I checked every one searching for the word "eye" and only found it once in one file but that file was referring to the topic being closed.

Ok, I found the message.

Now, I've see some problems where if I click on the link in the emails and I'm not logged in, I see a 500 error.  I'm not sure if that is what happened?

Make sure that you are running the latest version.

If you still get a 500 error enable detailed errors for your website so that can get a detailed error message with a line number and let me know.

This will then show what is causing the 500 error and if a bug can look at fixing the issue.

I have the latest version...we just installed it.  The 500 error occurs on mobile.  I haven't see it anywhere but mobile from an iPhone email click.  For whatever reason, when I go back and look at it with a regular browser on my desktop it works.  I figured it must have something to do with my login....or something to do with mobile.

Unfortunately without a detailed error message it would be impossible to know what maybe causing the issue.
