When an user want to write a new topic, the forum reports this: Server Error in Forum Application An error has occurred while writing to the database. Please contact the Forum Administrator. Support Error Code:- err_Access_save_new_topic_data File Name:- new_post.asp Forum Version:- 11.03 Help please. Thank you |

Well I have seen some other post, and it seems to be that the database is corrupted. How could get the solution? Sorry but I haven't so much knowledge about all of this. Need to know step by step. Thank you bruce |

Hello again. I have found the path to the database forum. now I need to know how to fix it. please i need the steps and tools to repair it . Also, know what to do to restore the DB when I fix it. Thanks Bruce. Hope an answer soon. Have serious trouble with users in the forum. |

It is unusual to get the error 'err_Access_save_new_topic_data' as this error relates to saving the new topics subject in the database. It is common for Access to become corrupted as it is a desktop database and not up to the task of large or busy forums. It's fine on forums with only a handful of users but anything bigger you should use SQL Server for the database.
