Using Internet Explorer 11, I can copy a URL from the address box top left and paste it into a post on the forum and it becomes a live link.

Others are complaining this doesn't work for them, all they get in the post is the text of the URL, though they were using other browsers (not Edge).

Is this a known issue?

I know, and have pointed out, that anyone can use the BBcodes, or the hyperlink icon but copying and pasting is very convenient.

The post editor uses the Rich text Editing API built in to the web browser.

The Microsoft one for IE and Edge auto turns URL's in to hyperlinks, but the others for Chrome and Firefox do not.

If you are using the latest version of Web Wiz Forums there is an option in the admin area that if a URL is detected when the post is submitted that is not a hyperlink it will automatically turn it in to a hyperlink.

OK, I've found that and it was checked. Can't find URLs in the group permissions though.

Once checked it is enabled throughout the forum, and when the post is submitted if a URL is detected in the post that is not a hyperlink it will automatically make the URL in to a hyperlinked URL.
