All new topics posted in the forum show as locked/closed preventing the user from editing or deleting content. I've confirmed the forums are all unlocked, new member group permissions and user permissions allow for editing posts but that doesn't seem to prevent the lock icon from appearing with new topics. How can new topic posts be made immediately unlocked and editable?

It sounds like the database field has the default value for the locked field set to true. Have you been editing or making changes to the database?

Yes, our server administrator needed to migrate the database to a new server. It's very likely a field setting has been accidentally changed. Is there a specific value that's needed or is 'false' the correct value?

You should set the default value for Topic.Locked to 0 if using SQL Server, -1 if using MySQL and False if using Access

Sorry, I should have asked this question in my previous reply: In what table is this field stored? I don't have access to the database so I'll have to pass on instructions to the administrator. This is extremely helpful!Thank you!! Star

Topic.Locked, the table is 'Topic' and the field is 'Locked'.

Sorry, I should have said rather than giving both in this format.
