I have an image of 100x640 pixel.  I want to use this image as background of a table of 100 hight x 100%.  How do I make the image stretch with the table?  Right now the image repeats if the width go wider than 640pixel

<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="100%" background="9_planets3.jpg" height="100">
  <tr>
    <!-- Company Logo -->
    <td align="left" valign="middle" width="100%" height="2">&nbsp; </td>
      </tr>
</table>

As far as i know, you can't directly control the size of a background image (other than changing the actual size of it).

You could do this with CSS by setting absoute positioning and changing the z-index, but i doubt if that is what you want to do
