Hi, I have an inherited forum on version 12.01 and it is fully functioning (to my knowledge) and has a fairly active user base for a very long time now.

The problem I'm seeing is that the RSS feed isn't showing any data. Unfortunately I have no idea if or when this has worked in the past so can't be sure if it was working prior to a couple of years ago when it was moved it to a new server (Server 2019 and SQL 2019).

This is a screenshot of what I see and I've tried turning the RSS feeds off and on again to see if it gets it into life but no luck. As you can see no errors it just simply doesn't show any data

Couldn't upload the image but here is a link to the RSS feed instead

Any insight to where I might be able to see some errors in a log or if the RSS feed connects to the SQL database in a different way to the rest of the site would be really appreciated!

An RSS Feed is public meaning anyone can read the data from it.

I had a look at your forum and see that it is a private forum and you have to login to view the forums and posts.

As the forum has no public topics or posts there is nothing that can be displayed in the RSS Feeds.

Brilliant thanks for the explanation it makes perfect sense now as to why it's not showing any data
