Good afternoon, COVID hit me really, really badly and I had to cut back on everything including letting go of a domain name that I had registered here along with its hosting. Very quickly some automated process somewhere else picked this up at expiry and registered the domain for the apparent sole purpose of benefiting from the traffic or selling back to me. That is all fine, I explictly made it clear to Web Wiz that they should not renew the domain name, so it was free for anyone else to register. I have just re-registered that domain with WebWiz and will restore the website over the next few days, but I was surprised that the squatter didn't hold onto it for longer. I think it all depends on the domain name and if the squatter thinks they can make any money on it.
