Currently I have the database in MSSQLSERVER2019. If I change it to MSSQLSERVER2022, the forum does not work. Can the forum be made to work with MSSQLSERVER2022?

I've been looking for days to find out how to work with MSSQLSERVER2022 and I don't know if the forum can't work with version 2022 or if I have MSSQLSERVER2022 installed incorrectly on my server.

Web Wiz Forums does support SQL Server 2022. We are running this forum on Windows Server 2022 with SQL Server 2022. You shouldn't need to make any changes to Web Wiz Forums to get it to work with SQL Server 2022.

Make sure that SQL Server is installed in mixed mode with TCP IP connections enabled.

How can I check my server if I have SQL Server in mixed mode? Thank you.

When I change the connection details to the database in SQL Server 2022, it gives this error:

Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server
Invalid connection string attribute

You select 'Mixed Mode' when installing SQL Server.

I have it installed from Plesk, just like I installed 2019 and which I am using. Could it be that I have to select somewhere on the server which database (2022 or 2019) I want to work with? You may have to tell the server to work with 2022 and not 2019.

Presumably you are not using Web Wiz as your hosting server provider as we do not use Plesk. You will need to ask your hosting provider or Plesk support how SQL Server is installed and how you connect to the database on their platform.

I found the problem. Thank you. The problem was in the port. I had to change port 1433 for MSSQLSERVER2022. I didn't and I still had MSSQLSERVER2019.

One last question, is the MSOLEDBSQL19 property supported by the forum, or just MSOLEDBSQL? Thanks and sorry for bothering,

MSOLEDBSQL is the latest, choose this one and it will use the newest MSOLEDBSQL driver installed on the system.

Hey hi, you might need to update the forum configuration or setting and verify that MSSQLSERVER2022 is correctly installed on your server and forum supports both the MSOLEDBSQL19 and MSOLEDBSQL properties.
