Hi,

My domain vidauna.com also has the subdomain images.vidauna.com. How can I make the subdomain path "upload/images"? Is it putting something in web.config?

I hope this makes sense, I'm Spanish and I translate with Google Translate, thanks.

It all depends how your subdomain is configured. It could be an independent website with its own folder path, or it could be the subdomain points at an existing website.

I would advise raising a support ticket with your hosting provider so they can take a look at how the subdomain is configured and give you the correct answer to this question.

The subdomain points to the root of the main one. I don't want it to point directly to "upload/images" so that it doesn't create system files like "user.ini" etc. in that folder.

An example:

I want the url " https://www.vidauna.com/uploads/3/twin-the-bin.jpg" rel="nofollow - https://www.vidauna.com/uploads/3/twin-the-bin.jpg" and the url " https://images.vidauna.com/3/twin-the-bin.jpg" rel="nofollow - https://images.vidauna.com/3/twin-the-bin.jpg" to be the same. The subdomain does not show "/uploads".

As you have a web.config file I presume you are using a Windows IIS web server.

I would create a new website for the subdomain so it can have its own web.config file, then add a virtual directory in the IIS manager that points at the at the folder on your man website. You may have to play around a bit with what you call the virtual directory and what folder it points at till you get the URL you want.

Its very easy, just right click the website in IIS and select 'Add Virtual Directory', pint it at the folder you want on the main website, and give it an alias name. The alias name is what you type in the URL for the website to reach the folder.

You may need to adjust the folder permissions of the subdomain website runs under a different user account for the application pool.
