Here's the problem that I'm having. This used to work on 7.0 Beta 4 (Access Version) but now on 7.01 (SQL) final it is not working.

When clicking on Active Topics the forum(s) that I setup for REGISTERED USERS on Forum Access are NOT being displayed even if I am already logged in and I am a Forum Member.

If I configure it like THIS... it doesn't show on active topics. If I give Forum access to ALL then of course it works.

Generic Forum Permissions
Forum Access:	Registered Users
Post New Topics:	Registered Users
Reply To Posts:	Registered Users
Edit Posts:	Registered Users
Delete Posts:	Forum Admin's Only
Sticky Topics:	Forum Admin's Only
Create Poll's:	Forum Admin's Only
Vote in Poll's:	Forum Admin's Only
Upload Images in Posts: Only enable this function if you have first setup the upload configuration, if your web space supports it.	Forum Admin's Only
Attach Files to Posts: Only enable this function if you have first setup the upload configuration, if your web space supports it.	Forum Admin's Only
Password: If you want this forum password protected place the password here. Otherwise leave it blank.

Yep thats right that is the way it works on Access and SQL server versions, there is no dieffernce in the code base.

Shouldn't it show if I'm a Registered User?

The active topics page doesn't look at permisions on individual users or groups as it was found that it made the page to slow and resource intensive.

There is a mod for the active topics page which looks at the grouppermission settings. You can find it in the mod forum

I had a look at that but never mangaed to get it to work correctly.

The mod I made works only for Access because I only modified the query in active_topics.asp, and not the corresponding one in the stored procedure for the MSSQL version.
Also for it to work correctly it is required that grouppermissions are set for each group for each forum.
