What do you guies think would be a fair monthly price for the following features? Its basically website hosting.

  • 20mb total storage
  • Custom domain name
  • 2 gb bandwith/month
  • Advanced HTML Editor

and a fair monthly price for these features

  • 100mb total storage
  • Custom domain name
  • Unlimited bandwidth/month
  • Advanced HTML Editor
  • ASP Support
  • No more banner/popups

i appreciate any reccommendations.

well if the first one had no asp, and DOES have pop ups and bannners...

then its normally "free"

just do a search on Google.. and compare prices....

to get an idea

It could be a bit risky offering unlimited bandwidth.

How about adding php, perl, mysql to the features... it won't cost you.

I own a windows 2000 server edition pc. I tried using perl once but it didn't work very well. Do w2k operating systems support PHP? And i thought mysql was expensive...

i guess your worried that someone will run a corporate website off my server and use a terabyte (1000 gb) of bandwidth a month... That's my premium plan, should i start them out with like 12 and let them purchase more if they want it?

I don't undrestand it
what do you mean " Like geocities ,.... "
Do you mean that you have something like this :
http://www.geocities.com/myID - http://www.geocities.com/myID

Is that what you are talking about about ?

Mysql is free http://www.mysql.com - http://www.mysql.com also you could install myodbc (from that same website) to allow asp scripts to use mysql.

yes, i'm designing software that allows you to set up your own webpage for free. and buy extra stuff for a monthly price if you want it. Mart: i misunderstood you, i though you were talking about SQLServer which runs for several hundred dollars. Thanks.
