Does anyone know if/how a member of a webwiz forum can change their username, but still keep their start date and post count,etc. ? I am admin for a forum and one of the members requested this and would rather not start from scratch. Thanks in advance. |

Hi, in the Access db, there are 2 fields Username and User_code.

No, all you should have to do is edit the actual user name. You want the user ID number to stay as it is since it is most likely the primary key. The User_Code is not the primary key, the primary key is the AuthorID. The user_code is used is stored in the coookie for login purposesm, so it would need to be unique as well. ------------- L. Hello, I just loaded my Office Pro, I have never used Office or Access before. Can someone tell me how to open my database into Access, and modify it then reupload it again?! I have a couple member names I would like to edit (possibly ~ if it's easy enough) but don't want to get myself in a mess of work here. thanks so much! |
