Hello.

 

I get this error when uploading a file

 

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

My server runs on IIS4 option pack 4

You didn't post the full error, but my guess is that you don't have the correct components installed to enable file uplloading.

here's the full error message:

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

Server.CreateObject Failed

/forum/functions/functions_upload.asp, line 82

Invalid class string

This error means that the upload component you are trying to use is not installed on the web server.

If you run the web server yourself, you need to download one of the upload components supported by the forum software and install it on your web server.

If you don't run the web server yourself, contact your web hosts and find-out if they have any upload components installed on the web server.

If you don't have components I have code that will allow you to upload using pure ASP (no components necessary). Msg me if you want it.

What and where would those upload components be, is thatin the documentation ?
